Sixth Grade Selfies

Sixth graders used the grid method to create self portraits in pencil. First, each student used their phones or iPads to take a selfie. The selfies were then printed and a grid was drawn on top of the photo. A grid of the same scale was drawn to a piece of white paper. Students copied the information from each square of their photo into the corresponding square on the white paper. We learned how to shade and finished the background with a color of each student’s choice.
